Ingredients
  

For the Cake:

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot coffee

  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line your cake pans.

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3: Add Wet Ingredients

  • Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

Step 4: Add Coffee

  • Slowly pour in hot coffee and mix. The batter will be thin—that’s perfect.

Step 5: Bake

  • Divide batter into pans and bake for 25–30 minutes. Let cakes cool completely.

Step 6: Make Frosting

  • Beat butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, cream, vanilla, and salt. Mix until smooth and fluffy.
