Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish
  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water

Instructions
 

Step 1: Cook the Noodles

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until tender. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain the noodles.

Step 2: Prepare the Chicken

  • If your chicken is not already cooked, cook it in a skillet until fully done, then shred or dice it into bite-sized pieces.

Step 3: Make the Butter Sauce

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 4: Combine Noodles and Sauce

  • Add the cooked noodles to the skillet. Toss them gently in the butter and garlic mixture. Add a bit of reserved pasta water to create a silky texture.

Step 5: Add Chicken

  • Stir in the cooked chicken and mix until everything is well combined and heated through.

Step 6: Season and Finish

  • Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese if using. Toss again until creamy and smooth.

Step 7: Garnish and Serve

  • Top with chopped parsley and serve warm.
