Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 15 oz whole kernel corn (drained)
  • 1 can 15 oz creamed corn
  • 1 box 8.5 oz cornbread mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Optional additions:

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sugar if you like it slightly sweeter

Instructions
 

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease your baking dish.

Step 2: Mix Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole kernel corn, creamed corn, cornbread mix, melted butter, sour cream, eggs, and salt.
  • Stir until everything is well combined. The mixture should be thick but smooth.

Step 3: Add Optional Ingredients

  • If using cheese or sugar, fold them into the mixture at this stage.

Step 4: Transfer to Baking Dish

  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

Step 5: Bake

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden and the center is set.

Step 6: Cool and Serve

  • Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. It will firm up as it rests.
