Ingredients
  

  • 300 g rigatoni pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 250 g sausage Italian or spicy, casing removed
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes optional
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup fresh basil chopped

Instructions
 

Step 1: Cook pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook rigatoni according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

Step 2: Cook sausage

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into small pieces.

Step 3: Add garlic

  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 4: Add tomatoes

  • Pour in crushed tomatoes and let it simmer for a few minutes to deepen the flavor.

Step 5: Add cream

  • Stir in heavy cream and mix well to create a smooth sauce.

Step 6: Add cheese and seasoning

  • Add Parmesan cheese, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.

Step 7: Combine pasta

  • Add cooked rigatoni to the sauce. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water if needed.

Step 8: Garnish and serve

  • Top with fresh basil and extra Parmesan. Serve warm.
