Ingredients
  

For the Salmon Patties

  • 500 g fresh salmon fillet skinless, boneless
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 4 burger buns

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Salmon

  • Finely chop the salmon using a sharp knife. You want a slightly chunky texture—not completely smooth. This keeps the burger tender and juicy.

Step 2: Mix the Ingredients

  • In a bowl, combine the salmon, onion, garlic, dill, parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, egg, breadcrumbs, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix gently until everything is just combined. Avoid overmixing—it can make the patties dense.

Step 3: Shape the Patties

  • Divide the mixture into four equal portions. Shape them into burger patties and place them on a plate. Chill in the fridge for 10–15 minutes to help them firm up.

Step 4: Cook the Patties

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 5: Toast the Buns

  • Lightly toast the burger buns in the same pan or separately until warm and slightly crisp.

Step 6: Assemble the Burger

  • Spread mayonnaise or tartar sauce on the buns. Add lettuce, the salmon patty, tomato slices, and onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
  • Serve immediately while warm.
