Ingredients
  

For the base layer:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg

For the topping layer:

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Step 1: Preheat and prepare pan

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Make the base layer

  • In a bowl, mix the cake mix, melted butter, and egg until a thick dough forms. Press this evenly into the bottom of the baking dish.

Step 3: Prepare the topping

  • In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs and mix well. Gradually add powdered sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.

Step 4: Assemble

  • Pour the topping over the base layer and spread evenly.

Step 5: Bake

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes. The top should be set but still slightly soft in the center.

Step 6: Cool and serve

  • Let the cake cool completely before cutting into squares. Serve and enjoy!
