- 500 g ground chicken
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup water chestnuts finely chopped
- 2 green onions sliced
- 1 head iceberg lettuce leaves separated
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and cook until soft and fragrant.
Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for about 1 minute.
Add ground chicken and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and pepper.
Pour the sauce over the chicken mixture and stir well.
Add chopped water chestnuts and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
Stir in green onions and remove from heat.
Spoon the chicken mixture into lettuce leaves.
