Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 12 –15 soft caramel candies cut into pieces
  • Sea salt flakes for topping

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3: Cream Butter and Sugar

  • In another bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 4: Add Eggs and Vanilla

  • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.

Step 5: Combine Mixtures

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix until just combined.

Step 6: Add Chocolate Chips

  • Fold in chocolate chips evenly.

Step 7: Add Caramel Centers

  • Scoop dough, flatten slightly, place a caramel piece in the center, and wrap dough around it.

Step 8: Bake

  • Place cookies on baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.

Step 9: Finish with Salt

  • Sprinkle sea salt on warm cookies for that signature sweet-salty flavor.
